On New Year's Eve, Ignat Galley, a 34-year-old physicist and astronomer, who is passionate about the stars and working at a mountain observatory, flies to the capital to get a divorce. In Moscow, under unusual circumstances, Ignat meets a mysterious girl Taisiya Artemyeva and meets her whole family: mother Yulia, sister Dusya and intelligent eccentric grandmother Yanga Lvovna. This meeting turns everything upside down in the life of an astronomer. And on New Year's Eve Ignat will have to make an important decision that will change not only his life, but also his new acquaintances.
