Campion is a television show made by the BBC, adapting the Albert Campion mystery novels written by Margery Allingham. Two seasons were made, in 1989 and 1990, starring Peter Davison as Campion, Brian Glover as his manservant Magersfontein Lugg and Andrew Burt as his policeman friend Stanislaus Oates.   A total of eight novels were adapted, four in each season, each of which was originally broadcast as two separate hour-long episodes. Peter Davison sang the title music for the first series himself; in the second series, it was replaced with an instrumental version.   Episode Information:   Episode 1 - Look to the Lady   Original Air Dates :January 22nd and 29th 1989   When an international ring of thieves and killers conspire to destroy a prominent British family, Albert Campion and his sidekick agree to help protect the family name and fortune. Before long they find themselves involved in a witch's brew of curses, spells and naturally... murder.   Episode 2 - Police at the Funeral   Original Air Date :February 5th and 12th 1989   An English country house, old money, good breeding and a brutal and bizarre murder-just the sort of mystery for Albert Campion to unravel. He no sooner begins his investigation, than another member of the family, Aunt Julia, is poisoned.   Episode 3 - The Case of The Late Pig   Original Air Date :February 19th and 26th 1989   Albert Campion discovers that an old school chum, whose funeral he is attending, might not be dead after all. Coincidentally, he receives an urgent plea from an old flame to solve another puzzling murder. Could the two be connected?   Episode 4 - Death Of A Ghost   Original Air Date :March 5th and 12th 1989   In this mystery, we find Campion hob-nobbing with art lovers at the posh estate of his friend Belle Lafcadio. He thought he'd been invited to view a painting but finds himself viewing a body. When another body turns up, Campion must deduce - is it suicide or a second murder?
