Suffering severe depression after losing her second husband, Ok-nyeo goes to live with her aunt in an effort to forget her recent past. She takes a job in a coal yard but the supervisor,Cho, after harrassing her for awhile, forces himself on her. Cho's girlfriend hears rumors of what has happened and confronts him. During their arguement, Cho kills her. Realizing that this may have been witnessed by Ok-nyeo, Cho comes up with a scheme to kill her as well.
