Requiem for the socialism that wasn’t. A cinematic portrait of a television show from the late 1970s. When Jiří Lábus (72) wakes up one night and sees himself on the TV screen as the young host of the television series Kroky (Steps), he is involuntarily teleported into the Czechoslovak broadcast of the late 1970s. Lost in the unconscious of the television world, he drifts between two television channels.
