An aspiring costume designer who identifies as a “femme, Asian, bottom” returns to Guam to make costumes for a children’s theatre production and reconnects with their estranged parents. Stylishly cutting and transitioning scenes using dialogue, rather than action, creates unique overlap between scenes, so that questions asked in one scene are answered in another, completely different context, creating one-of-a-kind pace, energy and meaning.
