Isabelle and Virginie both work at a film production company. One is madly in love with a rich man, while the other is unabashedly critical of the male sex. The two best friends, cynical about Quebec-style machismo, decide to invent the perfect man based on the images surrounding them. Playfully attacking the mythology of masculinity and exploring fantasy in all its manifestations, this first independent Quebec feature directed by a woman uses a lush, freewheeling cinematic language to create a feminist work that is resolutely political and free from the grip of male-dominated society.
